Swimming Sports Recount
Waiting in line, the gun shoots and my sight went blurry (bc my goggles went foggy) … this is where the story starts.
The teacher called up the year 7 and 8 girls for the 25m freestyle. I went up and as I was waiting in line I cleaned my goggles and started dancing while singing, “ I can see clearly now!’’. When the race before mine had finished, I stepped up to the pool. Most people jumped in the water before, but I decided to dive in because it makes you go further than just pushing off the wall. Ms Frost blew the whistle to get us ready and Ms Olsen said “take your marks” and before you knew, she had shot the gun and we were off. I sprinted through the water and touched the other end of the pool. I had finished before everyone else! I got out and the seniors from Rimu congratulated me. I walked back to sit with my friends and have a drink. Soon after the next gun shot had gone.
Many races after, I was finally at my last. I think it was the 100 I.M which stands for individual medley. Again, I had come first. I got out of the pool and went to my mum and my granny before they left. My mum gave me $10 for some reason, but hey I wouldn’t turn down money.
After that me and Daisy went to go get changed. When we had finished we went to the canteen, just before lunch. And that was pretty much it.
