Camping

On Saturday I went camping with my cousin... in my backyard🏡. We put up the gazebo and we had beanbags and the hammock in front of our tent. When my parents went to bed me and Bailey played spotlight🔦. Spotlight is a game that you play in the dark  with a torch. It's like hide and seek but when you get the torch shined in you then your in. After that we played on the hammock. When it was about 4 in the morning we brang a blanket and a pillow outside and waited for the sun to rise🌞. We went inside at about 9 O'clock and had breakfast. For breakfast we had a banana 🍌 strawberry 🍓 and honey smoothie. At lunch time we packed up the tent and went to the pools. And that was my weekend 😀

Invisible to the Muggle eye

Moaning Murtle begins to cry

Harry potter with his lightning scar

Fred and Georges experiments are bazaar

Ron Weasley Harry's best friend 

In it together until the end

Hermoine Granger so very smart

Dumbledore who is now sadly dead

Professor Snape with his short black hair

Hagrid with a dog as big as a bear

Of his father he was ashamed

Doxy pixies venom bites

Cho chang was harry's girlfriend

The basilisk has a frightening jaw

Dumbledores pheonix with magical feathers

Gryffindor quidditch have red maroon sweaters 

Hufflepuff is yellow raven claw is blue 

Sirius black road on buck beak with a birds eye view

Gryffindor is red and slytherin is green

On harry’s last year he turns seventeen 

In the deathly hallows trouble lies ahead 

Will Harry survive, is this the end?

Koruru poem

A koruru is the head of an ancestor

And drawing one is a very big tester

They can be any colour you like 

You could even call it mike

Some of them have green stone eyes 

One gets made when someone dies

The koruru body is the marae 

As you pass the marae say hi to the ancestor who lies

On top of the marae waving goodbye

No one talks about the koruru behind

In the sun you can only see the outline

Koruru look so amazing

Staring at it, you will start dazing

Transcendent Guitar

Guitar

A guitar is a musical instrument. Most people use guitars in songs. To be a guitar player you must practice and as everyone always says, 'practice makes perfect'!

Playing guitar is cool because there are many different types of guitars. There is an electric guitar, a bass guitar and of course an acoustic guitar. Each guitar makes a different sound. A bass guitar makes a very low dark sound, an electric guitar makes a sharp sound and an acoustic guitar sounds more like a country sounding instrument. There are also different types of acoustic guitars. There is a Spanish guitar which has nylon strings and there is a steel-stringed guitar.

These are some cool things to use when playing guitar. To play guitar you would need many different pieces of equipment. A tuner, to tune your guitar so it sounds right and not out of tune, a strap if you want to stand while playing, a pick is optional if you want to use it or not, a capo to get the higher and lower sounds, a folder is optional as well but it holds all of your notes and a case or a stand for your guitar.

Guitar is also very calming and when you play guitar you should be very passionate about it, you should enjoy the moment and get into the rhythm.

Guitar is an exceptional talent to have over the years of growing up and it can also be very useful as well.

Middle Earth

Middle Earth

In the second week of the holidays I went with my brother and my cousins to Middle Earth with my aunty.
Middle Earth is a place in Palmerston North and it’s like a playground in the woods. There are fairy gardens connected to
the woods and there are places you can eat at. The playground materials are just recycled woods, plastic and old machines
and boats that had the engine taken out of them. People make huts and there is surely over 50 there.

Before we got to middle earth we got McDonalds for lunch. We stayed at Middle Earth for about an hour and a half. Me and
my cousin bailey met someone there but I forgot her name... Oops!

There was a hill in the middle of the forest were most of the huts were and although there were lots of huts at least half of them weren't finished. We found my brother's hut that he had built the time before and the sad thing was that some of it got destroyed, so we all got some sticks and helped him rebuild it.

We started playing this game and it was a bit like a fun war (my team won). The teams were the three boys
(my brother Mason and my to cousins Lewis and Mitchel) vs us three girls. When it was time to leave we said goodbye to our
friend and walked back to the car.

On the way to the car we walked past a fairy garden and everyone made a wish. The boys were so cute with their wishes.
We got to the car got everyone in and were on our way home. We were all so tired and it felt like a long way home.

Middle Earth is so much fun and I recommend going there.
